A Devotional of Comfort and Home

At Blake's visitation, some beautiful flowers were sitting next to the casket at the funeral home with a card attached that read "Prayers for your family.  We know that Blake is in Heaven.  Mark 10-14".  I wasn't familiar with that bible verse, but I grabbed my phone with my bible app to read the words Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

What a pivotal point in my faith and our journey as followers of Christ.  Where emptiness and shame remained, hope began to fill the void.  Over the next few years, I felt a call to help others who were also going through the loss of a baby.  

The Blake Wagner Foundation was initially formed to raise funds to purchase medical equipment for local hospitals to give the gift of time to families of stillborn babies, like Blake.  The foundation purchased and deployed seven CuddleCots with the generous donations of our supporters giving families time to hold, take pictures, meet family and friends, but most importantly, time to heal. 

The CuddleCots placed in local hospitals are still in use today.  Each CuddleCot bears the bible verse Mark 10:14 on a plaque.  Other families similar to ours have placed CuddleCots in various hospital nationwide.  

The foundation's work is not done.  One in four women suffer from miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss.    We know that we are called to share the gospel of Christ.  I authored this book to further comfort families going through the pain of the loss of a child.

We hope that you will continue this journey with us.  Going forward, your donations will be used to print copies of Mark 10:14 for placement in hospitals to share this hope only found in a life in Christ Jesus where we will spend eternity with Him and our babies.
